Animals America provides support and relief to a variety of U.S. based 501 (c)3 non-profit animal welfare organizations and rescue groups through our emergency cash grants program. Animals America does not accept unsolicited grant proposals by mail, or any other means other than direct submission.
Animals America carefully considers all underlying factors in its grant review process. Including the ability of an organization to demonstrate its professionalism and stability. Organizations that can demonstrate the following qualifications in their proposal are in the best position to receive funding from Animals America in a timely manner:
- Access to other sources of funding
- Active fundraising efforts
- Collaboration with other animal welfare organizations
- Up-to-date and accurate website
All applicants must be in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service in order to apply for grants.
Animals America Funding Priorities Include Grants for The Following Purposes:
Emergency Abuse and Anti-Cruelty Efforts
Emergency abuse and anti-cruelty grants provide aid to 501(c)3 animal welfare organizations and rescue groups that currently have an animal victim in their possession and are working to save its life. These grants are strictly to assist with the medical and surgical needs of animal abuse and cruelty victims. This program does not provide for routine medical care.
Grant amounts range from $100-$3,500.00
Emergency Crisis Efforts
Emergency crisis grants provide aid to 501(c)3 animal welfare organizations and rescue groups that find themselves in crisis due to the number of animals they are trying to save. Crisis efforts include both hoarding and puppy mill rescue, and recovery efforts. This program does not provide for general overcrowding.
Grant amounts vary and are based on situation and need.
Emergency Disaster Response Efforts
Emergency disaster grants provide aid to 501(c)3 animal welfare organizations and rescue groups on location in disaster ridden areas working to transport animals out of harm’s way, to safety. Our disaster grant program is for natural, and manmade disasters.
Grant amounts vary and are based on need. Available only in times of disaster.
Low and No Cost Spay and Neuter Programs
Spay and Neuter grants provide aid to 501(c)3 animal welfare organizations and rescue groups in the event of large-scale hoarding and/or puppy mill recovery efforts.
Grant amounts range from $100-$1,000.00
Animals America conducts regular reviews of its applicants’ non-profit status.
All grantees are required to report back to Animals America with respect to the use of the funds for the purposes requested within six months from the date of issue.
